Getting Started with Brandmind

Brandmind is an AI-powered content generation app for Shopify merchants. It learns your brand voice and generates on-brand product descriptions, blog posts, social media content, ads, and more.

1. Install the App

Install Brandmind from the Shopify App Store. Once installed, open the app from your Shopify admin sidebar. You’ll be guided through onboarding automatically.

2. Complete Onboarding

During onboarding, you’ll provide three pieces of information:

  1. Brand name — your business or store name
  2. Website URL — your primary website or Shopify store URL
  3. Example description — a short paragraph that captures how you talk about your brand (used to calibrate tone)

3. Brand Research Crawl

After you submit your onboarding info, Brandmind runs an automated brand research crawl. This process searches publicly available information about your brand, including:

  • Your website content and metadata
  • Social media profiles linked to your brand
  • Press mentions and articles
  • Competitor landscape and positioning

The crawl typically takes 30–60 seconds. You’ll see a progress indicator while it runs.

4. Review Your Brand Profile

Once the crawl is complete, you’ll see a review screen showing the brand profile Brandmind assembled. This includes:

  • Brand summary — a synthesized overview of your brand
  • Target audience — who your brand speaks to
  • Brand voice & tone — how your brand communicates
  • Key differentiators — what sets you apart from competitors
  • Brand values — core principles that guide your messaging

Review each section and edit anything that doesn’t look right. You can always update your brand profile later from Settings.

5. Generate Your First Content

After completing onboarding, you’re ready to generate content:

  1. From the main dashboard, select a product from your catalog
  2. Choose a content type (e.g., Product Description)
  3. Optionally adjust generation parameters like audience, goal, tone, and length
  4. Click Generate
  5. Review the generated content, then push it to your Shopify store or copy it for use elsewhere

All generated content is saved in your history, so you can revisit, compare, and reuse it anytime.
